Claude is an excellent general assistant. If you paste in a transcript and a spec, the thinking you get back is hard to beat, and plenty of people run their week that way.
The work is in the pasting. Claude has no native meeting recording and starts each conversation from what you hand it. Driffle captures your meetings and screen context first, so the question does not need an attachment.
Many people use both. Driffle holds the memory, Claude does open-ended reasoning. They are not really substitutes.

Can Claude take meeting notes?
Not natively. Claude has no built-in meeting recording or transcription, so you supply the transcript yourself. Driffle captures meetings on your Mac without a bot.
Should I use both?
Plenty of people do, and it is a sensible setup. Driffle holds the memory of your meetings and work, and Claude handles open-ended reasoning and writing. They solve different problems.
Does Claude train on my conversations?
Anthropic states no model training on Team content by default, with an opt out on individual plans. Driffle does not train on your work in any configuration.
They cost about the same. Why?

Can Claude see my screen?
Its pricing page describes desktop extensions and connectors rather than continuous screen context. Driffle builds memory from what you work in, with pause and exclusion controls you hold.
What if I only need summaries occasionally?
Then a general assistant is probably enough, and we would rather say so. Driffle earns its place when the gathering is the tiring part, not the summarising.
